 The Lyrics in my Life!

Lyrics in my life.... Isen`t it funny how sometimes a song can trigger a memory that you had forgotten, or touch your heart in a special kind of way. Happens to me all the time. Some memories are great, some sad and others make me laugh out loud. I still remember the first song my husband and I ever danced to, still sing my babies the same song almost every night, and every time I hear a song by Bing Crosby its both joyful and sad. I think I will keep that memory to myself for awhile. As an adult its more the lyrics in certain songs that speak to me, sometimes its the whole song and others its just a line or two. For instance I love me some Tim McGraw.....who doesnt? And he has this one song that goes:

"I know how to hold a grudge
I can send a bridge up in smoke
And I can't count the people I've let down, the hearts I've broke
You ain't gotta dig too deep
If you wanna find some dirt on me.....
I'm learning who you've been
Ain't who you've got to be"

I cant even tell you how much I love this song! I have some things in my past that I am absolutely not proud of but that does not define the person that I am today. It then goes on to say :

"I ain’t as good as I’m gonna get
But I’m better than I used to be!"

Preach Tim McGraw!!

On Thursdays I go to this womens group at my church and a few weeks ago the woman who was teaching the group said that on certain days God puts a song in her heart and that she will use that song and those lyrics to get thru that day. She said sometimes she will have that same song stuck in her head/heart for weeks. She wouldnt know why then all of a sudden, God speaks those words, those lyrics, into whatever situation she is dealing with. Have you ever had that happen to you? What song/lyric is on your heart?
