 Healer!

Its COLD!! I woke up this morning shivering. We have lived here for 5 years and I am still not used to this TX weather. One day its in the high 70s and you have the air conditioning on, the next the heat needs to be turned on, its so odd. You never know how to dress. I call this sick weather!! Which is exactly what Abby is, sick! As a mom when your kids are sick its the worst feeling in the world. It breaks my heart to not be able to help her and to see those little droopy eyes. She has had this horrible cough for a couple of weeks and my husband and I thought that it was finally going away, then this weekend it seems to have gotten worse. Its not fun at all. Last night around midnight, Abby came into my room crying, so I walked her back to bed and tucked her in. She asked me to sing her the same song I always sing my girls at night and I did but after awhile singing the same song OVER AND OVER AND OVER again gets very annoying. She kept on coughing, which was keeping her up, so I started to think of songs about healing. I know Abby likes Kari Jobe so I starting singing Kari Jobes Healer. To be honest with you, I could not remember most of the words, so I hummed most and sang the chorus. She eventually feel asleep around 2. I said a little prayer for her and went back to my bed. As I was trying to fall asleep I kept thinking about those lyrics I could not remember. This morning after I took Nadiya to school, I went on the computer and looked up the lyrics that I had forgotten. Here is my favorite verse:

You hold my every moment
You calm my raging sea
You walk with me through fire
and heal all my disease

 I trust in You

Amen! I know that Abby will be healed of this annoying cough that she has had, I just have to trust that God has her in the palm of his hands. She is home with me today, watching sponge bob, while mommy keeps pumping her full of orange juice and chicken noodle soup.  Keep her in your prayers...and stay warm texas!
